How to Apply
Applications for school year 2027-2028 open on September 1, 2026.

Admissions Application Requirements, grades 1 – 8
Please complete the Admissions Application online and submit the following forms through our online enrollment system, FACTS.
1. Complete an application online, with $55 (per child) non-refundable application fee; paid online at the time of application submission.
2. Submit your child’s most recent report card and the prior year’s final report card.
3. Submit standardized test scores (grades 3 – 8).
4. Request a teacher recommendation directly in the application portal.
5. If applicable, submit any IEP or 504 paperwork.
6. Optional: To obtain the Active Catholic Tuition rate, submit a copy of child’s baptismal certificate and Parish Verification Form (completed and signed from your home Parish). Students applying to the Immaculate Heart of Mary School who were baptized Catholic before February 1, 2024 will be given the Catholic rate once their Baptismal certificate and Parish Verification forms are received by the school. Families who are considering having their children baptized should contact the parish office and may be given the Active Catholic tuition rate the following school year.
7. Placement test, administered at IHM. (This requirement is waived if coming from an Archdiocese of Baltimore Catholic School).
8. Shadow Day or meet the Principal (optional for grades 4 – 5, required for middle school).
Please note that your application will not be processed until all required documents are uploaded into the FACTS portal. Please review your admissions checklist in the portal to make sure all items are submitted.
Age Requirements for Preschool & Kindergarten
2027-2028 School Year
PreK 3 – Students must be 3 before September 1, 2027
PreK 4 – Students must be 4 before September 1, 2027
Kindergarten – Students must be 5 before September 1, 2027

- Request a recommendation from a current teacher/daycare (if applicable)
- Optional: a copy of your child’s Baptismal certificate and Parish Verification form (to obtain the Catholic Tuition Rate)
- If applicable, submit ISFP/IEP/504 paperwork

Enrolled Kindergarten students will be assessed in the Spring.
Admissions Timeline
September 1, 2026 – Applications open for school year 2027-2028
November 2026 – FACTS Financial Aid applications open, grades K-8
November 18, 2026 – PreK3, PreK4, and Kindergarten applications are due for priority admission
November 20, 2026 – Re-enrollment for current families
November 20, 2026 – New PreK3, PreK4, and Kindergarten enrollment begins
December 18, 2026 – Applications due for early decisions
January 9, 2027 – Early decision emails are sent (contracts sent 1/15/27)
January 29, 2027 – Enrollment deadline for new students
February 28, 2026 – FACTS Financial Aid applications are due, grades K-8
February 2027 and beyond – Admissions continue on a rolling basis for grades with remaining capacity
Admissions Priority Policy
Admission to Immaculate Heart of Mary School is based on space availability, a review of previous school records, teacher referral forms, and the successful completion of math and reading placement assessments. When qualified applicants exceed available space, admission priority is granted in the following order:
- Current IHM students who are re-registering.
- Siblings of current IHM students and children of IHM faculty and staff.
- Children of active registered parishioners of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.
- Children of active registered parishioners of other Catholic parishes within the Archdiocese of Baltimore.
